​Nail Care
This may include both nail clipping and filing, depending on your pet's tolerance. Nail clipping takes the bulk of the nail length down, filing is to smooth the edges so they aren't left sharp and gets even closer to the quick of the nail. The dremel tool does vibrate and make some noise, so this may not be suitable for pets with very high stress/anxiety levels. if your pet cannot receive nail filing, simply allowing them to take walks/run on pavement naturally files them down.
Deshedding
Deshedding your dog is not just a grooming necessity; it's a vital part of maintaining your dog's health and happiness! Deshedding significantly reduces the amount of pet dander and loose fur in your home, creating a cleaner, allergy-friendly environment for you and your family.
Anal Gland Expression
Regular expression is not necessary for all pets; it is typically only needed when signs of fullness or discomfort are present. Normally, the glands empty naturally during defecation due to pressure from the stool. However, when the fluid thickens or the glands fail to empty properly, it can lead to impaction, infection, or abscess formation, causing discomfort.
Teethbrushing
During their spa day, they will have their teeth scrubbed with pet safe tooth paste and breath freshener. Brushing three times a week is the minimum recommendation to help remove plaque and prevent tartar accumulation. If this visit is the only time they recieve tooth care, this may not help anything in the long run, so it's best to do this at home as well!
Ear Cleaning
Ear cleaning is an important part of a dog's grooming and health care, particularly for dogs prone to ear infections, those with floppy ears, or those that swim regularly. The structure of a dog’s ear canal, which is deep and angled like an "L," makes it difficult for debris to exit naturally, increasing the risk of buildup, itchiness, and infection if not managed. Regular cleaning helps remove debris, bacteria, and yeast, which may lead to infection if left to build up.
