How long does a groom take?

This is never an exact time, as behavior and coat type, condition, and size all play a factor in time spent, and may even vary each visit. The better they are able to relax and unwind, generally, the quicker the service, and vice versa. It's best to book on days you aren't on a tight schedule! A general time for a well behaved, matt free pup is about 2 hours.

How often should I book?

Most pets need to be on a consistent 6-8 week schedule to maintain overall health; Especially those who have hair, not fur. (Such a poodles, shih tzus, yorkies, maltese,  bichon frise, and many more!) This will greatly reduce shedding around the home as they receive brushing every spa day session; as well as allowing us to get a good look at the skin, checking for any fleas, ticks, irritations, new growths, etc.

Can you work with pets with disabilities?

Absolutely! Blind, deaf, arthritic, amputees, and/or pets with hip dysplasia are welcome!. They can have assistance standing comfortably with a belly band throughout the service.

My pet has fleas and/or ticks. What do I do?

Our flea and tick treatment uses only clean, natural ingredients that will kill all fleas on contact. However, this is only a part of the process. To rid them all, the home must be deep cleaned. We can treat what comes into the salon, but that doesn't prevent them from jumping back on the pet at home. Additionally, a preventative is essential. Flea collars, topical drops, and chewables are all proven to prevent and kill fleas. For ticks, they will be removed during the service. Be sure to monitor the skin at home, and consult your vet to check for possibly transmitted diseases and/or infections from the tick bite.

What is the purpose of the Epsom Salt paw soak?

Epsom salt soaks are not just for humans; they can be a great addition to a dog’s wellness routine!

  • Skin Irritations: Epsom salt baths can help relieve itching and irritation caused by allergies, hot spots, and rashes. The anti-inflammatory properties of magnesium sulfate can reduce redness and swelling, providing comfort to dogs with sensitive or irritated skin.

  • Muscle and Joint Pain: Similar to its effects on humans, Epsom salt can help dogs suffering from muscle or joint pain. This is particularly beneficial for older dogs with arthritis or those recovering from an injury. The warm water combined with the salts helps relax muscles and reduce inflammation, easing discomfort.

  • Wound Care: Minor cuts, abrasions, and surgical incisions can also benefit from Epsom salt baths. The salts have mild antiseptic properties that can help clean wounds and reduce the risk of infection while promoting faster healing.

  • Swelling and Inflammation: Epsom salt baths are known for their ability to draw out excess fluids from the body, making them helpful in reducing swelling and inflammation. This can be particularly useful for dogs with swollen paws or limbs due to an injury or allergic reaction.

Can you work with aggressive pets?

For the safety of myself and your pet, pets with a bite history I am unable to service. The safest way to have these pets groomed are with sedation at a vet. Vets can have entire teams dedicated to your pet's safe service, as well as constant monitoring of their vitals, and can provide immediate care if an incident were to occur.

I have multiple pets. Can I book them together on the same day?

Yes! However, their size and behavior can impact this. I also cannot guarantee being cage-free this way. If the pets can tolerate being in the same room together without disrupting each other's service, they're welcome to roam and relax within the space. If they worsen each other's anxiety, or heighten their energy, it is best to book them one at a time, or on separate days so they can best relax.
